Dan Richman, Senior Reporter, danrichman@mminews.com, 301-769-6903 x108. Dan, a Chicago native now living in Seattle, has worked as a reporter or editor for more than 25 years. He wrote for trade publications on health care and computers for 10 years, took time off to earn a law degree, then covered business and technology at the Seattle Post-Intelligencer (P-I) for another decade. At the P-I, he won several awards for his work and was nominated for a Pulitzer. He is married to a fabric artist, has a grown daughter and enjoys sailing, bicycling, orchids and digital photography.

Sam carries on traditions of independence in business journalism and a signature, highly concise writing style that he and his father, newsletter industry pioneer George Spencer, honed over four decades of publishing industry-leading newsletters. Most were about and for the energy industry. Sam is confidently committed to precise, high quality journalism that is always advertising-free amid the landscape of fast-changing news delivery technologies and business models. Sam grew up in the trade news industry, has worked in every role in the business (except printer), in every department and has been executive, co-owner or manager at several leading industry trade journals since the early 1990s.

digital publishing with extensive hands-on experience in most aspects of the
industry, including production and distribution, marketing and sales, customer
service, finance and operations, and copyediting. She earned a master’s
degree in publishing from the George Washington University with an emphasis
on business and technology and a bachelor's degree in biology and psychology
from Washington & Jefferson College. She is a member of the Specialized
Information Publishers Assn (SIPA). Her husband, William, is a Senior
Assistant Manager at Apple Inc. Season enjoys leisure time with her husband
and young daughter, traveling, cycling, swimming and reading.
Liz Yap, Production Director, liz@mminews.com, 301-769-6903 x103. Liz, living and working in the DC area, has been an art director and graphic designer for 20 years. Past tenures include Guide to Retirement Living, Washington Post's Express, Democratic Leadership Council's Blueprint Magazine and Education Week. Past freelance work includes Hopkins House, Red Cross of Alexandria and CFC. She resides in Alexandria, VA, with her husband of 9 years and preschool-aged son and enjoys bicycling, boating, scuba diving, hiking and traveling.
Zachary Colman, Reporter, zcolman@mminews.com, 301-769-6903 x202. Zachary is a Michigan native living in Washington, DC. His previous experience includes reporting for the Associated Press, the Jerusalem Post, the Omaha World-Herald and the Detroit Free Press. He earned a master's in public affairs reporting from University of Illinois-Springfield and a bachelor's degree in international relations and journalism from Michigan State University. Zachary is a die-hard Detroit and Michigan State sports fan and reads everything he can about foreign policy.
