Who We Are

He also managed Internet World magazine, served as a New York Times media critic and taught reporting and writing in the Graduate School of Journalism at Columbia University. He recently conducted research for a book by the Dalai Lama and spent six weeks in Russia producing a non-profit's multimedia medical report.



Dan Richman, Senior Reporter Dan Richman, Senior Reporter, danrichman@smartgridtoday.com, 301-769-6903 x108.  Bio: Dan is a Chicago native now living in Seattle, has worked as a reporter or editor for more than 25 years.  He wrote for trade publications on health care and computers for 10 years, took time off to earn a law degree, then covered business and technology at the Seattle Post-Intelligencer for another decade until its demise in March 2009.  At the P-I, he won several awards for his work and was nominated for a Pulitzer.  He is married to a fabric artist, has a grown daughter and enjoys sailing, bicycling, orchids and digital photography.


Season Crawford, VP of Marketing  Season Crawford, VP of Marketing, Customer Service Director, Associate Publisher, season@mminews.com, 301-769-6903 x102.  Bio: Season is a 13-year veteran in business-to-business digital publishing with extensive hands-on experience in most aspects of the industry, including production and distribution, marketing and sales, customer service, finance and operations, and copyediting.  She is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Publishing at the George Washington University with an emphasis on business and technology.  In addition, she is a long-time member of the Specialized Information Publishers Association (SIPA).  Her husband William is a Senior Assistant Manager at Apple Inc.  Season enjoys leisure time with her husband and young daughter, traveling, cycling, swimming and reading.

Bio: Liz, living and working in the DC area, has been an art director and graphic designer for the last 19 years.  Past tenures include Guide to Retirement Living, Washington Post's Express, Democratic Leadership Council's Blueprint Magazine and Education Week.
